Madison Keys is a proven champion on these Charleston courts, and her ability to battle back against Belinda Bencic earlier this week shows she's in prime form and mentally tough. She knows how to win here, simple as that. Starodubtseva has enjoyed a fantastic breakout run, no doubt, but this is a completely different challenge. Stepping onto court against Madison Keys in a WTA semi-final, especially one where Keys is so comfortable, is a huge ask. Keys' power game, particularly her serve, will be incredibly difficult for Starodubtseva to handle, especially if she's feeling the pressure of the moment. I just don't see Starodubtseva having enough in her arsenal to derail the Keys Express at home. This feels like Keys' match to lose, and she won't be losing it.
